Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP)

Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs), including scissor lifts, boom lifts, and articulating boom lifts, are subjected to continuous use, harsh environmental conditions, and demanding job site operations. Over time, structural components and welded connections may develop cracks, corrosion, or other defects that can affect equipment integrity and performance. Regular inspections help identify these conditions early and support informed maintenance decisions.

Our qualified inspectors perform detailed Visual inspection (VT) of MEWP structural components and welded connections in accordance with applicable industry standards, manufacturer recommendations, and client requirements. As part of our inspection process, Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) is performed on critical welded connections to identify surface and near-surface discontinuities that may not be visible during visual examination.

Following each inspection, an inspection decal is attached to the equipment, and clients receive a detailed inspection report documenting the inspection scope, findings, identified indications, deficiencies, and recommendations where applicable.

Supported by CSA W178.1 certification, CWB-certified welding inspectors, and CGSB-certified NDT personnel, we provide documented structural inspections and NDT services for MEWPs and industrial equipment. Our services assist equipment owners, maintenance teams, and industrial operations in evaluating equipment condition and maintaining reliable asset performance.
